Since its establishment in 2012 by Melbourne designer Lucinda Kimpton, Kimpton Interiors has built a reputation as one of Australia’s leading interior design studios, consistently delivering interiors of exceptional quality and quiet sophistication. Every project is instinctually led, tailored to our clients’ needs, and executed with an attention to detail second to none, resulting in spaces that feel deeply personal, welcoming and beautifully resolved.

Kimpton Interiors is known for its mastery of combining classic proportions with a curated layering of pattern, texture and colour to create perfectly balanced Contemporary Classic interiors. Specialising in full-service design, Lucinda works exclusively on rooms and larger projects that require comprehensive attention—from concept and architectural detailing through to bespoke joinery, furniture and interior styling- ensuring each space is thoughtfully and meticulously realised.

Our studio is supported by a dedicated team of senior designers, junior designers, project managers and lighting engineers. Together, we pair creative intuition with technical expertise to ensure every aspect of a project is crafted with precision, clarity and care.

Over more than two decades, Lucinda has cultivated trusted relationships with Australia’s leading artisans, craftsmen, trades and architects, as well as internationally renowned fabric houses, showrooms and design partners. These relationships allow us to deliver interiors of enduring quality and character, supported by exceptional craft.

Based at our design studio at Level 1, 511 High Street, Prahran, Kimpton Interiors services clients across all major cities and regional areas throughout Australia, and is open to select international projects.

The studio’s work has been featured in Homes & Gardens UK, Australian House & Garden and Belle, and is recognised for its elegance, refinement and authenticity. In 2025, Kimpton Interiors was honoured with Australian House & Garden’s Best Soft Furnishings award as well as the People’s Choice Award for Best Room.
